Partnerships
Open News Insights considers collaborations that fit its focus on news literacy and give readers useful context. Partnerships are assessed for relevance, transparency and editorial independence.
Possible collaborations
We consider clearly scoped projects such as reader education resources, event or discussion partnerships, and relevant contributions that explain a topic for a general audience. Proposals should say what each party would do, who the material is for and how readers would encounter it. We do not promise coverage or a particular editorial conclusion as part of a collaboration.
Partner placements
We may accept partner placements across the site when their subject and presentation are suitable for this publication. Placement terms and the material's relationship to a partner should be clear to readers. A placement is not an endorsement of every claim or product associated with its source, and partners do not approve independent editorial content.
How material is labelled
Sponsored, paid or partner material is identified as such, with a label that makes its relationship to the partner understandable. Editorial explanation remains separate from paid placement. We may decline a proposal that would confuse those roles, weaken reader trust or ask us to hide who is behind the material.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Include the proposed subject, format, intended audience, timing if relevant, and the parties involved. A proposal is an invitation to discuss fit, not confirmation that a placement or collaboration will proceed.
